"Sunday Mournings is the home for love and loss. Our mission is to change the cultural messaging surrounding grief by cultivating authentic connections and conversations through heartfelt gifting.

Every single day ~165,000 people died in the US in 2023. 1 in 5 people will experience the death of someone very close to them before they turn 18 (and approximately 6 million of those under 18 will experience the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver by the time they turn 18). However, these heartbreaking and awakening numbers don’t include how we lose ourselves, our homes, relationships, jobs, safety, and so much more during our life’s journey.

Grief surrounds us. It’s the only thing in life that is inevitable, yet we avoid it manifesting illness, trauma, and so much more. What we often forget when wanting to avoid it, is we already know it. From the second we leave the womb we are grieving. Grieving the comfort and connection of what we once knew- our home.

I [Natalie] felt my purpose to change cultural messaging around our grief-avoidant culture start slowly because I first had to change the messaging for myself, and then I could no longer ignore the call. My heart filled with fire to help support loved ones remember how to connect with each other.

We need to change the conversations about grief- we need to have them. We need to tell our stories not just for ourselves, but for each other and with each other. Sunday Mournings helps start the conversations, extend a hand when you don’t know what to say, and support the grief journey beyond just the first few months."
